The venue is the Grand Hotel San Michele, which is on the coast in the Calabria region of Italy. The hotel is a 1920’s villa with a 100 acre site, including a farm, ocean front, and a golf course. It is beautiful but somewhat isolated.

The nights can get cold, so please bring some layers to keep warm while on the terraces.

Choose your preferred menu for dinner at our wedding! There will be 3 courses:
1. Vegetarian Option

2. Fish Option
Course 1: Citrus Risotto with Shrimp

3. Beef Option

If you stated you are celiac or gluten-free it will be accommodated, but please choose your favorite option!

The hotel can arrange a shuttle to pick you up at the train station in Paola (20 minutes drive), which serves express trains from Rome and Naples, or the nearest airport, Lamezia Terme (SUF) (1 hour 20 minutes drive). There is also a closer station in Cetraro where local trains coming from Naples stop.
The express train from Rome to Paola is about 3.5-4 hours, and from Naples is a little under 3 hours. There are flights to Lamezia from Rome and other European capitals, especially on Ryan Air. For us, the best itinerary was to fly to Rome and take the high speed train, but you may prefer other options.

We have a block of rooms reserved for three nights, May 9-11 (checkout on the 12th). You don’t have to follow that schedule, but at a minimum you should try to be at the venue by 5pm on May 11th for the ceremony.
You can reserve a room by emailing the hotel at sanmichele@sanmichele.it and mentioning Josh & Camille’s wedding. They should give you a 10% discount on standard room rates, which they told us were the following:

Train tickets: You can purchase tickets on the Trenitalia app. Remember to book ahead because trains can run out of seats. You will also have to 'check in' prior to boarding to avoid a $50 fee.

Weather: Our wedding will be right before peak travel season, so it will be fairly cold in the evening after the sun sets. Please bring layers to keep warm.
